    Celebrating Great Books

Wild Skies Press is thrilled to announce the Grocery Store Book Tour in collaboration with Mathew J. Levitt — author of Monster Slime Cereal. To celebrate this unique book, Mat will be subverting expectations by hosting book signings in grocery stores in Sherwood Park and Stony Plain, Alberta.

Come on down to Save-On-Foods in Sherwood Park, Indigo in South Edmonton Common, and Freson Bros in Stony Plain! With this dynamic multi-city book tour, readers can connect with local author Mathew J. Levitt to get their copy of Monster Slime Cereal (signed!).

In this webinar, attendees can expect to learn the differences between traditional publishing, self publishing, hybrid publishing, and how to propel a publishing career forward. Using Wild Skies Press as a case study, Alexis Marie Chute—award-winning author, filmmaker, and visual artist— explores the ways in which hybrid publishing helps authors bring powerful, beautiful, and meaningful books to the marketplace. There will also be a live Q&A where Alexis will answer questions about hybrid publishing.

Learn artful ways to cope with life’s challenges, anxiety, and stress by utilizing the empowering and healing capacities of writing. Creative writing exercises will be presented as tools for personal reflection and betterment. Individuals should come prepared to write and will be guided through writing exercises using prompts and mindful inspiration. The workshop will focus on nonfiction writing, including free writing, memoir, and poetry, with additional exercises shared for experimentation at home. Participants will leave equipped to apply the writing tools in compassionate self-care personally and in their communities.
